What can I expect from therapy?
Therapy is an idiosyncratic experience, meaning that different people will experience it differently. Ideally, your therapeutic experience will be challenging and rewarding, and you will experience some degree of growth, change, and/or a beneficial shift in some of the more troubling life dynamics that brought you into therapy in the first place.
Where is your practice located?
I currently hold sessions virtually, however I do have an office in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, NYC for clients seeking in-person sessions.
How much does therapy cost?
My general rates for therapy are $275 for a 45 minute individual session and $350 for a 60 minute couple/family therapy session. I accept multiple forms of payment; payment is due at the end of each session.
I do not accept insurance, however I am able to provide you with a detailed receipt that can be used for “out-of-network” insurance reimbursement. Clients often have success defraying a large portion of their therapy costs via out-of-network reimbursement.
How will I know when I am ready to finish therapy?
People are often aware that the nature of the difficulties that have led them into therapy have changed, and that such change is “good enough” for the time being. I encourage clients to check in from time to time for a “tune up” even if their crisis has subsided. During times of relative calm some very deep structural changes can be made in a relationship that may reap rewards and benefits well into the future.
